Harris, (Charles) Teenie (American/Pittsburgh, 1908-1998), Group Portrait of Three Men in the Joyce Bryant Room (possibly Flamingo Club), c.1950, printed c.1980s, matte photograph, signed in black ink lower right by Walter Allen, image 17 x 21.25 inches, sheet size 20 x 24 inches. A rare, large print of this photo taken in Pittsburgh's Hill District neighborhood. Walter Allen was a fellow African-American staff photographer for the Pittsburgh Courier, where Teenie worked too. This photo is registered int he CMoA's Harris archive, but there are a few photos from this time that some people believe were taken by Allen instead.
In generally good condition, light signs of handling and discoloration to the margins, including a 1 x 2 inch abrasion to the lower margin; currently in a window mat, the sheet hinged in two places at the top edge of the verso to a backing board.
