The Work of Georgia O'Keeffe: A Portfolio of Twelve Paintings, 1937, first edition, suite of 12 color offset prints and 9 pages of text housed in a clamshell slipcase, sheet size 20.5 x 17.5 inches, from the edition of 1050, not numbered, Knight Publishers, NYC, printed by hand offset by Bernard Metal on O'Keeffe Opaque paper that was specially made for this portfolio. An early and colorful production.
In good vintage condition, paper lightly age-toned, images primarily clean and unmarked, the exception is a brown stain at the bottom edge of Plate 11 (Horns and Feathers), almost all with light soil and handling in the margins, a few with abrasions int he margins, 4 with pinholes at corners. Slipcase worn and frayed. Merchandise will be packed and transported by the purchaser at their own risk and expense.
