Tibetan thangka depicting Shyama or "Dark Green" Tara, the Mother of all Buddhas, Central Tibet, Sman Bris Gser Ma style, 19th century, gouache on cotton with green and maroon silk surround, 32.5 x 22 inches, in cherry wood frame 37 x 30.5 inches. Central figure in typical green, unusual aureole possibly showing Bonpo influence, with blue flowers, in relaxed Royal Ease (lalitasana) pose, with royal robes and gold accented jewels, upper register with central Buddha and two lamas, two protectors at bottom including Shri Devi.
