Arranged wood pieces create striped and zig-zag patterns. Top opens to a compartment, two drawers below. Apparently unsigned/unmarked. 11.25 x 12.5 x 10 inches. American Folk Art hand painted locking box, 18th or 19th century. Polychrome floral and foliate motif covering three exterior sides and top of lid. 7 x 15.75 x 12.5 inches. Provenance: Collection of a Western Pennsylvania Institution. In overall good condition, apart from one missing piece at front, one at back, and age related abrasions and accretions of the Folk Art box. The Tramp Art box has some chips, wear, and loss.
