Koitsu, Tsuchiya (1870-1949), Yotsuya Araki Yokocho, color woodblock print, from the Tokyo Fukei series, depicting two geisha bathed in the light of a teahouse in the evening. One of Koitsu's most popular designs, this woodcut has been reprinted many times by the publisher since its original printing in January 1935. Bearing the Harada-Yokoi printers seal. Sheet 15.5 x 10.5 inches, in a black frame, 19 x 15.5 inches.
In overall good condition, apart from some toning around the edges and some light creasing at center left. Small stain at lower left corner, not effecting image. Mat with creasing, soiling, and dents. Merchandise will be packed and transported by the purchaser at their own risk and expense.
