Reminiscent of Robert Lavin's work portraying steelworkers and trainmen. Lavin illustrated industrial scenes for books and magazines, including Life and Reader's Digest. Lavin's work, which was heavily influenced by the social realists of the 1930's, has been collected by various museums including The Smithsonian Institution.
