Unsigned Scalp Level Landscape in Poor Condition, c.1900, oil on canvas, mounted to board, 6.5 x 8.5 inches, unframed. Once owned by Lila Hetzel, and in her style, but also reminiscent of the work of George Hetzel and Alfred S. Wall. Provenance: gift from Lila Hetzel artist to a close family friend. Lila Hetzel was born in Edgewood, Pittsburgh, and was the daughter of George Hetzel who founded the Scalp Level School.
