Vajrabhairava with Tantric Consort and Dharma Protectors of the Gelukpa Order Thangka, Tibet, 19th century, gouache on cotton, 25.5 x 16.5 inches, in a cherry wood frame 33 x 25 inches, central figure of Vajrabhairava, a wrathful manifestation of Manjushri, dark blue, nine faces and buffalo head, with consort, surrounded by Guhyasamaja and Cakrasamvara who are also in yab-yum union with their consorts, and many dharmapalas including White Mahakala, Six-Armed Black Mahakala, Vajrapani, Yama, Vaisravana, and Palden Lhamo as well as Tsongkapa.
