Nesbert, Vincent (Polish/American, 1898-1976), Female Nude, c.1940s, oil on canvas, signed lower right, 18 x 30 inches, in the artist's original wood frame 21.5 x 33.5 inches. Provenance: acquired directly from the artist's estate. Vincent Nesbert was born in Telechany, Poland and immigrated to Pittsburgh in the mid 1910s. He joined the faculty of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in August 1928, and later served as dean for many years. In fair condition, with cracking near the center and a number of small paint chips scattered in the upper right quadrant.
