Wall, William Coventry (British/American/Western PA, 1810-1886), Pack Saddle Gap, Conemaugh River, 1869, oil on canvas, relined, signed and dated lower left, 14 x 22 inches, in a gold painted wood frame 19 x 27 inches. Includes a photo attached to the back of the frame showing Wall's handwritten title on the canvas verso before it was relined. The painting is in generally good condition. It has been relined. There is loss and inpainting along the right side edge where the painting sits under the frame. Craquelure, one light area with pinwheel/sigmoid crackle, and inpainting throughout the sky. There are light age cracks near the lower right corner and in the areas where the houses are reflected in the river.
