20th century American School, Washington Square Park Arch in Winter, c.1950s, pencil on thin paper, unsigned, 7.25 x 9.25 inches, in a thin wood frame 8 x 10 inches. The verso is unmarked. Provenance: the personal collection of Gary S. Grimes, Pittsburgh. Gary was an expert on Western Pennsylvania art, and especially the Scalp Level painters.
