Each volume is illustrated. Ownership signature and bookplate of Captain Robert S. Cain of Pittsburgh, PA on the front blank of the first volume. Captain Cain fought in World War I, and was awarded a Distinguished Service Cross for extraordinary heroism in action in the Bois-de-Chateau-Diable, August 11-12, 1918. A handsome set.
