17th century Dutch School, Still Life with Birds and Fruit, oil on canvas, since laid down on board, dated 1615 along with an illegible cypher by an unknown hand lower left, 16 x 19 inches, framed 19.5 x 22.5 inches. Provenance: The estate of Donald T. Mervine, Western Pennsylvania, sold to benefit the Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium.
In fair condition, laid down, crazing and small losses throughout, inpainting and repairs most noticeable along the edges.
