Barzanti, Pietro (Italian, 1842-1881), Fisherwoman, late 19th century, marble sculpture. Finely carved depiction of a fisherwoman with a freshly caught fish, net at side. Incised signature at back along with 'Florence'. Measures 41 x 12 x 11 inches. Weighs approximately 185 pounds.
Condition
In overall good antique condition. One repair on the fish net handle. Some other smaller repairs, including an area on the dress, on the base, and under one arm. Chips in some areas, particularly along the lower edge of the base. Age related abrasions and accretions. Merchandise will be packed and transported by the purchaser at their own risk and expense.
