Ruth Ward is a textile artist living and working in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. One of Pittsburgh’s iconic master quilters, Ward has spent a lifetime perfecting her craft and has been making, exhibiting, and selling quilts and textile pieces in the region for decades. She is a member of Women of Visions, the longest-running collective of Black women visual artists in the United States. The group was Co-founded in 1981 by a diverse group of African American women in Pittsburgh.
