German?, 20th century), Lot of 6 untitled prints, c.1960s, color woodcuts and embossing on wove paper, each signed Lehr in pencil near lower right, impression size 9 x 9 inches, full sheet 15 x 12.75 inches, unframed. Unknown artist and possible student work. Provenance: collection of Robert Hagenhofer, a graphic designer who attended the Chicago Institute of Design in the late 1940s following a stint as a soldier in World War II. The imagery is reminiscent of what Alvin Lustig did for his famous textile design Incantation. In good condition, with varying degrees of foxing, staining and soiling, mostly in the margins.
