American Needlepoint Sampler, wrought by 13 year old Serafina Waters in the year 1817, includes alphabet, numbers and floral decorations, 9.75 x 10.5 inches, framed 10.5 x 11.25 inches. Provenance: Mrs Henry A. Phillips (niece of Serafina) then by descent through the Philips and Grosvenor families.
