Ford, Barbara Janet (American/Pittsburgh, b. 1945), glazed ovoid form studio pottery vessel with narrow neck and opening, mid/late 20th century, incised signature at underside, 7.75 x 7 inches. Barbara Janet Ford is a contemporary American ceramicist who received her BA and MFA from Carnegie Mellon University. She is a member of Associated Artists Pittsburgh, Craftsmen's Guild Pittsburgh, and Society Art in Crafts. She taught at the Carnegie Institute Museum, Chatham College, and owned Brush Valley Pottery Studio.
