(American 1909-2003), Bowl with Two Compression spots, glazed stoneware bowl, measuring 6 x 13 x 13 inches, incised with the artist's signature on the underside, Provenance: acquired from the artist, Mr. Mills was a Professor of Art Emeritus, at Carnegie Mellon Univ. where he taught pottery for many years. He was awarded Artist of the Year at the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts and won many awards for pottery during his career.
