Smith, Carl Richard, aka Dingbat or Bat (American/Pittsburgh, 1927-late 1980s), Untitled Assemblage Wall Relief, 1966, nails on wood panel, signed and dated on the verso, 12 x 10.25 inches, in the original wood frame 16.5 x 14.75 inches. Very little is known about the life of Smith, an African-American artist from Pittsburgh.
