Old title label in an unknown hand affixed to the verso. A western Pennsylvania scene, probably done in the hills around Ligonier. Provenance: The personal collection of Gary S. Grimes, Pittsburgh. Gary was an expert on Western Pennsylvania art, and especially the Scalp Level painters. In good condition, with a layer of surface dirt; light wear to the extreme edges where the painting sits under the frame.
