Roth, Dieter (aka Diter Rot) (German/Swiss, 1930-1998), Screaming by the Sea + Again, Screaming by the Sea [Geschrei am Meer], 1975, intaglio etching with aquatint on BFK Rives wove paper, signed, dated, titled and numbered 24/30 in pencil at the bottom margin, impression 17 x 23 inches, full sheet 29.5 x 41 inches, unframed. Created for the Gesamtschule at Paffrath and printed by Karl Schulz, Braunschweig. DOBKE 336 (2). A very rare Roth print. Only one other impression has gone to auction previously.
A good, clean impression; edges of the sheet with minor wear including a few soft bumps; faint band of foxing visible along the rightmost 3 inches of the sheet.
