Epiphone Recording A Model tenor banjo with resonator, likely pre 1927/28. 20 frets, curly maple resonator with inlay, head stock and fretboard with mother of pearl inlay. Back of headstock marked House of Stathopoulo Makers New York, headstock inlaid Epiphone Recording A, interior marked PATENTED 1917, no apparent serial number. With Elton bridge mute, tone regulator, Gibson locking hard case with green felt interior, several picks, key, extra hardware, and tuner. Banjo 4.25 x 36 x 14.5, case 6.5 x 37 x 15.5 inches. Provenance: The Estate of Paul G. Benedum, Jr.

Drum head broken, armrest with wear, resonator brackets amateur repair, resonator with repairs along the rim and wear, repaired areas at upper fretboard, addition small repairs throughout.
