Demonte, Etienne (Brazilian, 1931-2004), Hummingbird Drinking Nectar, 1985, watercolor and gouache on paper, signed and dated lower right, sight 20 x 13 inches, matted and framed 27 x 20 inches. Provenance: James J. White, Curator of Art and Senior Research Scholar at the Hunt Institute for Botanical Documentation, Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA. In 1985 White curated the show For Love of Nature: Brazilian Flora and Fauna in Watercolor by Etienne, Rosalia and Yvonne Demonte at the Hunt Institute.
