Jones, Franklin Reed (American 1921 - 2007), Rustic Sawhorse and Bucket, watercolor and gouache, 13 x 21.25 inches, signed lower left corner, framed 23 x 30 inches, Franklin Jones of Southbury, Connecticut, and Stockbridge, Massachusetts, was born on May 18, 1921 in Needham, Massachusetts. He became a noted painter of rural New England landscapes and of figural works. His preferred mediums are acrylic and watercolor. He is also a teacher and author and has received the American Watercolor Society's highest award, the Gold Medal of Honor, and membership in the Dolphin Fellowship.
