Hetzel, George (German/American, Western Pa. 1826-1899), A Chance Meeting near The Fishing Hole, oil on canvas, 21 x 30 inches, signed lower right, farmed in a cove style gilded wood frame measuring 28.5 x 37.5 inches. We believe this is an early example of Hetzel's work shortly after leaving Germany and his early training at The Dusseldorf Academy, Provenance: Wunderly Galleries, Pittsburgh, Pa.
