Hetzel, George T. (American/Western PA, 1846-1912), Autumn Forest Interior, c.1900, oil on canvas, relined, initialed G.T.H. or G. T. Hetzel and possibly dated lower right, 12 x 16 inches, in a gilt frame 18 x 22 inches. Provenance: Walter Family, Pittsburgh; Wunderly Gallery, Pittsburgh. George T. Hetzel was the nephew of George Hetzel, Pittsburgh's best known 19th century painter. He was raised in the Spring Hill section of Pittsburgh and was at one point the deputy recorder for Allegheny County in Western Pennsylvania.
