Neal, Harold Meredith (African-American/Pittsburgh, 1931-2013), Christ on Cross, mixed media on board, signed at both lower left and right, 36.5 x 28 inches. Neal taught art at the Pittsburgh Creative and Performing Arts School, at the former Ivy School of Professional Art, Downtown, and at Bucknell University, Carnegie Mellon University and La Roche College. He was the first art therapist in the former Western Penitentiary state prison in the North Side and also owned H.M. Neal Galleries in Wilkinsburg, PA.
