(11.5 x 9.5 inches), recased, leather spine buckram corners and edges with most of the original decorative leather boards and about half of the original spine laid-down, aeg, vii, 1011 pp., from the collection of Irving Vendig, the television writer best known for creating mystery crime drama and soap opera The Edge of Night, with his family's records handwritten in the rear section. An early edition of the famous Leeser Bible, complete with the Pentateuch (Five Books of Moses), The Earlier and Later Prophets, and The Hagiographia (Psalms, Proverbs, etc.).
Condition
In good condition, overall: recased, as noted, with sections of the original spine leather missing or present but quite dry; loss along the edges of the boards; binding is quite strong; no markings to the text; light age toning to the paper and very sporadic instances of faint foxing.
