According to the Glasgow catalogue Raisonne of Whistler's prints, a large number of impressions were sold through Sears, Roebuck & Co. in the 1960s, when the firm invited the film star Vincent Price to acquire original art works for their Fine Art Section. In seemingly good condition, unexamined outside of the frame, with one small foxing mark visible in the left margin.
