Hanley, Joan (American, 1938-2019), Waterlilies, 1968, acrylic on canvas, signed 'Bartos' (her married name at the time), and dated at lower left. Joan Hanley was born in New York City and studied at the Honolulu Academy of Art, University of Hawaii (B.F.A.), American Academy of Art in Chicago (with Irving Shapiro), Dartmouth College, University of Colorado, and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her career spans painting (acrylic, watercolor and oil), sculpting, illustrating and instructing. Her works have been displayed at the Denver Museum of Art, the Chicago Art Institute, Colorado State University (permanent monument), national corporate collections, and adorn public spaces in La Veta Colorado. Canvas 30 x 40, in painted wood strip frame 31 x 41 inches.

Condition
