McLeary, Kindred (American, Texas/Western Pa. 1901-1949), Cubist Tabletop Still Life, circa 1940's, gouache on board, 24 x 20 inches, framed with a walnut wood frame25 x 21 inches, McLeary taught architecture at Carnegie Mellon and was close friends with Samuel Rosenberg. He was part of the WPA and produced murals for the WPA during that period. He died in 1949 from a fatal fall from a ladder at his studio in Confluence Pa. Provenance: Graham Shearing Collection, Pittsburgh Pa.

Condition
