Grosfeld House armchair, American, New York, 1940s. Wooden frame, leaf form back, highly carved floral motif and hand painted gilt accented arm and front legs. Floated buttons on interior of arms, Large button at center of back, looped fringe trim. Upholstered in purple velvet and quilted floral fabric. Approximately 41.75 x 30.5 x 24 inches.
Upholstery stained, abrasions and accretions commensurate with age and usage, jute webbing is ripped and the springs are exposed as a result.
