Baskin, Leonard, Recollected Fragments of Ornament and Grotesque: A Book of Monotypes, number 6 of 14 copies, of which only 10 were for sale, complete with 18 color monotypes, each one signed and numbered 6/14 by Baskin to lower margin, a variety of image and paper sizes, plus etching to title page and colophon, 1988, Eremite Press, hardcover, folio (book measures 16 x 14.75 inches), full crimson morocco bound by Gray Parrot, housed in leather backed slipcase. An exquisite and rare collection. Provenance: deaccessioned from a regional institution; will include a letter of deaccession from the institution.
Condition
Two small library stamps, including one Withdrawn, to the rear endpaper, otherwise contents are fine, clean and unmarked; boards with minor signs of handling; slipcase with some edgewear and staining.
