Ted Hughes, illustrated by Leonard Baskin, Aeschylus - Oresteia, number 45 of 60 copies signed by the Hughes' and Baskin's widows, Carol Hughes and Lisa Unger Baskin, 2002, Gehenna Press, hardcover, folios (16.25 x 12.75 inches), leather-backed boards bound by Claudia Cohen, complete with 47 woodcuts by Baskin who finished the illustrations for the book just days before he died in the summer of 2000, housed in gray clamshell slipcase with leather title label. The final collaboration between Baskin and Hughes to be printed, and the last major literary work issued by Gehenna Press. Provenance: deaccessioned from a regional institution, but with no stamps, stickers or markings; will include a letter of deaccession from the institution.
Condition
