Ted Hughes, illustrated by Leonard Baskin, Capriccio, number 27 of 50 copies signed by Hughes and Baskin, 1990, Gehenna Press, hardcover, folio (20.25 x 14.25 inches), full two tone leather binding by Gray Parrot, illustrated throughout with 19 etchings, 6 woodcuts, and 1 wood engraving on various hand-made papers each signed and numbered by Baskin, housed in green leather backed clamshell slipcase with leather title label. A stunning production, combining the skills of two masters at the top of their games. Provenance: deaccessioned from a regional institution; will include a letter of deaccession from the institution.
Condition
Two small library stamps, including one Withdrawn, to the rear endpaper, otherwise a fine, clean and unmarked copy; slipcase faded, scuffing and damage to the edges and corners.
