Lieb, Leonard (Polish/American/Pittsburgh, 1912-1977), The Silver Circle, c.1960s, oil on Masonite board, apparently unsigned, two labels on the verso, 45 x 36 inches, in the artist's wood strip frame. Lieb was a student of Samuel Rosenberg and a member of the Associated Artists of Pittsburgh for decades. He showed his work in nearly all of their exhibitions in the 1940s and 1950s and was the recipient of many of their awards during that time.
In generally good condition, some cracking to the areas with heavy impasto, but mostly stable; one area of loss to the bottom of the green section just to the left of the center.
