Lieb, Leonard (Polish/American/Pittsburgh, 1912-1977), Untitled [Reflected Cityscape], undated, c.1950s, oil on canvas, apparently unsigned, 36 x 27 inches, in the artist's original wood strip frame. Provenance: estate of the artist. Lieb was a student of Samuel Rosenberg and a member of the Associated Artists of Pittsburgh for decades. He showed his work in nearly all of their exhibitions in the 1940s and 1950s and was the recipient of many of their awards during that time. In good condition, with an overall layer of surface dirt/grime; paint has dried up in places with some resulting crazing and small areas of paint loss.
