Lieb, Leonard (Polish/American/Pittsburgh, 1912-1977), Pittsburgh Mill Scene, 1937, work on paper, signed and dated lower right in blue ink, titled on the verso, 8 x 10.5 inches, in an old window mat 14.75 x 17.5 inches, unframed. One of Lieb's earliest pieces to appear at auction. Provenance: estate of the artist, by family descent. Lieb was a member of Group A and a student of Samuel Rosenberg.
