Provenance: gift from the artist to a close family friend. Lila Hetzel was born in Edgewood, Pittsburgh, and was the daughter of George Hetzel who founded the Scalp Level School. In good vintage condition, with a 1-inch tear to the right edge; light browning throughout and a nickel-sized stain to the lower left.
