Hetzel, Lila Barr (American/Western PA, 1873-1967), Still Life With Skull, Wine Bottle, Goblet, Cigarettes and a Match, undated, c.1890s, pen and ink on paper, signed lower right, 7.75 x 9.75 inches, unframed. Provenance: gift from the artist to a close family friend. Lila Hetzel was born in Edgewood, Pittsburgh, and was the daughter of George Hetzel who founded the Scalp Level School.
In good vintage condition, with a 1-inch tear to the right edge; light browning throughout and a nickel-sized stain to the lower left.
