McBeth, Lucille (American/Western PA, 20th century), Abstract 66-1A, 1966, acrylic on canvas, signed and dated at bottom, titled on reverse, also with artist's label, 42 inches square, in a wood strip frame. Lucille McBeth and her husband Luke both graduated from Carnegie Tech (now Carnegie Mellon University) in the early 1950s with degrees in art. They did graphic design in the 50s and later moved to architecture, where they helped to transform the town of Bradford Woods, a suburb north of Pittsburgh.
