McBeth, Lucille (American/Western PA, 20th century), Hard Edge Abstract, silkscreen, signed and marked 9 of 35 in ink to bottom right, image size 19.5 x 15.5 inches, frame size 26 x 22 inches. Lucille McBeth and her husband Luke both graduated from Carnegie Tech (now Carnegie Mellon University) in the early 1950s with degrees in art. They did graphic design in the 50s and later moved to architecture, where they helped to transform the town of Bradford Woods, a suburb north of Pittsburgh.
