Mabel Beatrice Holtz Landaker was born in Chicago, Illinois on June 11, 1902. She specialized in painting impressionist portraits and still life works. She was also quite skilled in ceramic pottery work. She studied at the Art Institute of Chicago, the Academy of Fine Art in Chicago, and the Carmel Art Institute. Landaker exhibited her works at the Carmel Art Association gallery, the De Young Museum, the Madonna Festival in Los Angeles, the Monterey County Fair, the City of San Francisco, the Society of Western Artists, and the Biltmore Galleries in Los Angeles. Her works are included in many private collections worldwide.
