Melville, Herman, illustrated by Barry Moser, Moby-Dick, or The Whale, 1981, the California Deluxe Edition, one of 750 copies, a faithful reprint of the 1979 Arion Press edition, hardcover, blue cloth, in matching slipcase. Provenance: deaccessioned from a regional institution; will include a letter of deaccession from the institution.
Two small library stamps, including one Withdrawn stamp, to the rear endpaper and a small abrasion from bookplate removal to the front pastedown; otherwise very good to Near Fine with light scratching and soil to the exterior; tight binding; clean contents; slipcase good, rubbed and handled but secure.
