Marcel Breuer for Gavina and Knoll International, Pair of Model B3 Wassily Chairs, 1972, dark tan leather over polished steel tubular frames, partial Gavina label to the back of one chair and a Knoll label with date stamp under one of the arm straps, 28.25 x 30.75 x 25.5 inches. First designed in 1925, inspired by the frame of a bicycle and influenced by the constructivist theories of the De Stijl movement.
In fair to good condition; one with detached seat and the other one with detached arm rest; rubbing and some cracking to the leather; frames with small areas of early oxidation.
