Peterdi, Gabor (Hungarian/American, 1915-2001), Pair of Prints: The Purple Clam and Wings of the Ocean, etchings on laid-paper, 1952, both titled and numbered 71/200 in pencil at the lower margin, sheets 22 x 15.5 inches, unframed, from the portfolio published by Ted Gotthelf and printed by Rio Grande Graphics. 2 surrealistic images from this well known printmaker. Apparently, only 50 of each image were actually printed, and they were numbered randomly. These prints are both in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), and National Gallery of Art, Washington, DC, among other institutions.

Condition

In good condition with bold, clean impressions; light handling and discoloration in the margins and verso. Merchandise will be packed and transported by the purchaser at their own risk and expense.
