(Native Americans/American Indians), Pair of WPA Dioramas created for the Museum Extension Project, Dist-5, c.1930s, exquisitely detailed figures and painted backgrounds in wooden boxes with glass, 9 x 13 x 9.5 inches. One shows a domestic scene with a woman working on a large loom; the other shows two men preparing a canoe. Pennsylvania’s Museum Extension Project (MEP), part of the Works Progress Administration’s Division of Women’s and Professional Projects, provided work for women and white-collar workers.

Condition
