Original photograph of authors Ray Carver and Chuck Kinder, taken 1973 while wine tasting at Swiss Colony Wintery, Napa County, CA, photographer unknown, printed in Pittsburgh, 4.5 x 6.5 inches, matted and framed 8 x 10 inches. Provenance: The estate of Chuck Kinder and Diane Cecily, Pittsburgh, PA; with Diane's handwritten note taped to the back of the frame. Diane was Carver's girlfriend in California in the early 1970s before she met Chuck. TOGETHER WITH: Tess Gallagher, The Hug, 1981, broadside, signed, inscribed and numbered 57 (of 100) in ink to the lower right corner, in a metal frame 18 x 12 inches. Tess Gallagher was Carver's girlfriend and closest companion in the last decade of his life, from 1977 to 1988. Provenance: also from the estate of Chuck Kinder and Diane Cecily.
