Remington, Frederic (illustrations), text by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, The Song of Hiawatha, 1891, number 229 of 250 copies of the deluxe large paper edition, Houghton, Mifflin, hardcover, original vellum boards with gilt titles and decoration, teg, complete with 22 tissue-covered photogravures from Remington's illustrations, and a frontis portrait of the author.
Condition
In good condition, small gift inscription to bottom of fly leaf in red ink, otherwise unmarked; boards sturdy and secure, showing natural discoloration and light soiling to the vellum.
