Nkisi power figure, Songye peoples (or after), Democratic Republic of the Congo. Carved wood figure with vulcanite beads, horn, attendant figures attached to both arms. 59 inches tall. Provenance: From a large lot of African art purchased by a knowledgeable collector from a storage space buyer, story featured in the LA Times, 2004.
